Memorial Day

Pepper, Alex and I went to the Ridgefield Parade this morning. Then we went to a picnic, where Alex had her first pool experience (just her toes...).

Sunday walk through Ridgefield

We have been taking a walk through Ridgefield's downtown area every Sunday since the temperature has warmed up. Pepper always gets an ice cream cone and we enjoy the scenery. One of the churches had a "Field of Flags" representing all of the soldiers who had died in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was quite moving....See pictures below:

Alex at home

Here are some updated pictures from this past week. As you can see the vegetables are still quite a challenge to get her to eat...but we are not giving up! Alex also takes what we call "cat naps." She is able to fall asleep at the drop of a hat, no matter where she is! Usually when she is on the floor playing....It is pretty cute. Alex is also super close to sitting up on her own. We can't wait for this milestone.

Our first Mother's Day

We had a lovely first mother's day here at home....Here are some pictures from our deck!

The Schmoo meets Sweet Potatoes...

It was not love at first taste...
As you can see below Alex was NOT into the first vegetable that we tried to give her. She would take the spoonfull but not close her mouth! She would sit there with her tongue hanging out of her mouth wishing the food would escape her mouth. It was too funny not to share.

Outings with Alex

This week Alex and I went to Pepper's softball game! Unfortunately they lost, but Alex enjoyed being outside and was cheering on the team! We also took a nice walk in Westport in the big girl seat for her stroller.
We went to the doctor yesterday for her 6 moth appointment....

Height: 26 1/4 inches - 75th percentile
Head: 17 inches - 70th percentile

Alex at Six Months!

Alex has turned six months old!! We can't believe how fast the time has gone. She is more fun than ever! She is laughing and talking a lot. She frequently demands the attention of total strangers when out shopping with mom. Alex is really starting to enjoy books, touching the pictures and turning the pages herself. Her favorite toys are still those that she can put in her mouth. And she is very interested in watching others eat! Frequently you will find both Alex and Buddy drooling/begging for whatever Pepper and I are eating....Very funny. We are enjoying the warm weather and are looking forward to spending more time outside playing.
